17. Wollongong

Just around about Nowra I noticed some blue sky up to the North-East. I figured that was as good a reason as any to explore out to Shoalhaven Heads.

There I found a beach in the typical east-coast beach style. Not too remarkable, but nice to see the blue sky and water. Continuing on along the coast I found Gerroa to be more interesting.... Lagoon, bridge, beach, hillside.

17.1. Kiama

By the time I reached Kiama, the trip was just about done. I forever hear about the blowhole there, but have never seen the place, so thought it was time to take a look. Sure enough, there were enough waves to get the water spurting out of the hole in the rock. An interesting sight.

Yes, there is a lighthouse there too, standing watch over the blowhole.

17.2. Wollongong

How can you do Wollongong justice in the one picture left? You can't but this is the harbour there anyhow. It marks the end of some 4000km of travelling and a lot of interesting places.
